Where it all began...

The GJExperience is founded by Genise Johnson. While Genise has been in the catering business for some time, it all started in her adolescence with both her mom and dad being in the culinary industry. Genise always found herself front and center to assist her parents with their passion which lead her to her love for food and cooking herself. It was in in recent years that she decided to launch TheGJExperience. Genise, a Chicago native, has an immense passion for cooking and cultivating her own unique spin on classic dishes. Genise frequently receives raving reviews from reoccurring and new time clients from her catering and private dining events. After several of positive reactions and praises from happy clients, Genise believes that an expansion of her passion in Chicago's food industry scene would enjoy significant success in her hometown.
